Tribal fighting in central Somalia leaves 10 dead



More than 10 people are reportedly killed, and dozens more were wounded in a fierce clan battle broke out in Galgaduud region of central Somalia on Friday.
The clashes flared up in a remote village located between Balanbal and Herale towns, where 2 fraternal clans are fighting over water holes and grazing fields.
A local elder in the area, told Radio Shabelle over the phone that residents are in panic as the sides receive reinforcement forces from Abudwak and Herale.
Sporadic gunfire could be heard from the battle zones, and the rival clans are massing militiamen into the area near Balanbal town which falls under Ahu Sunna group.
