There is no state money stolen, Auditor General Says



Somalia’s auditor general Nur Farah Jimale has dismissed reports that the state money was stolen by officials of the outgoing federal government of the country.

Speaking to Radio Shabelle in Mogadishu, the Auditor General Said there was no any corruption or theft of the national asset in this critical transitional period.

He said the power transfer between the outgoing and ongoing governments of Somalia will take place in a peaceful manner with no corruption of the public asset.

“We are working on to make sure that the power transfer to happen in peaceful and transparent way,” said Somalia’s general auditor Nur Farah Jimale.
