Two unidentified gunmen killed the chairman of the Olympic Committee for Mogadishu’s Dharkenley district Amin Ali Mumin Friday (August 23rd), UN-funded Radio Bar-Kulan reported.

Mumin was killed in front of his home Mogadishu shortly after he left the Dharkenley stadium where he attended games for local tournaments. Police are now in search of the killers who immediately fled the scene, Dharkenley District Commissioner Moalim Abdalle Hilowle said.

Mumin had served on the Technical Selection Committee which oversaw the selection of the members of parliament in 2012, Somalia’s Radio Dalsan reported.
