Responding to the incident that took place on Maka al Mukarama this morning resulting in a tragic loss of life, Minister of Interior Abdullahi Godah Barre, said:
“The government regrets all loss of life and has launched an investigation into this morning’s tragic incident on Maka al Mukarama.
“I call on AMISOM to ensure they respect and adhere rigidly to the local laws and customs and work with the Somali Police and government in investigating this incident with upmost urgency.”
